Dr. Kang is promoting the implementation of autonomous driving-related standards in China, including standards of GNSS and IMU, and vehicle coordinate systems. With the efforts of the CSAE team, standards related to the performance indicators, interface protocols, and testing methods of GNSS and IMU are gradually being implemented. Since joining Changan in 2020, Dr. Kang Yifei has been instrumental in the
design and implementation of the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for the Changan Deeppal SL03 and Changan Deeppal S7. During
this time, he founded Changan’s autonomous driving localization department. He developed two high-precision localization systems for the
SL03 and S7: one that covers 600,000 kilometers of highways across China for ADAS, and another for house zone parking lots, with self-built maps and an automatic parking system.
