Toshiya Hirose
Toshiya Hirose is a Professor of Shibaura Institute of Technology in Japan and is a visiting researcher of National Traffic Safety and Environment Laboratory. Previously, he was a co-chair of the activities on technical regulations for Advance Emergency Braking Systems (AEBS). And present, he is a co-chair for Acceleration Control for Pedal Error (ACPE) in GRVA (Working Party on Automated/Autonomous and Connected Vehicles). He also participates as a committee member in several Japanese vehicle safety project, including a construction of the Japanese vehicle safety regulations, the ASV (Advanced Safety Vehicle) research project and the JNCAP (Japan New Car Assessment Program). And he is conducting research about an evaluation of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist System) and ADS (Automated Driving System) with a driving simulator, and a construction of the ADS for personal mobilities.
