James Hunt

James Hunt is a cofounder and CEO and CTO of aicas a leading vendor of memory safe embedded technology and physical AI and embedded software management systems.  Over the years, James has expanded his vision for aicas to revolutionize the way embedded systems are programmed and managed. He has more than 30 years of software experience, from wafer-scale CAD tools to realtime safety-critical embedded systems.

James spent several years as a research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory where he developed CAD software for restructurable wafer-scale integrated circuits (RVLSI) and a parallel Lisp system for signal processing.  He participated in the SC-205/WG-71 Plenary for updating software safety standard for avionics, where he was the European cochair for the Object-Oriented Technology subgroup.   He is the specification lead for the Realtime and Embedded Specification for Java.  He also degrees from Yale University (BS),  Boston University (MA), the University of Karlsruhe (Dr-Ing), now KIT.

James is a prominent figure in the technology industry, widely recognized for his expertise in realtime systems, distributed computing, and programming languages.  He is a member and contributor to COVESA, the Eclipse Foundation, and the Java Community Process.  He actively support the development of standard API for embedded and physical AI systems, where not just technology, but also process and governance are critical to success.
