Olivier Fontaine

Olivier Fontaine is Deputy Technical Director at the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA)He was born in 1966 in Brussels – Belgium and is graduated in electro-mechanics engineering at ECAM (Brussels). He joined General Motors in 1997, then OICA in 2000.Since then, Olivier Fontaine has taken an active part in the process of global harmonization of the motor vehicle technical regulations in areas like passive safety, lighting, noise, general safety and active safety.Olivier Fontaine is currently most committed in the activities toward the deployment of automated driving, assistance driving systems and connected vehicles, in particular at the UN, by participating to the World forum for the harmonization of vehicle regulations (WP.29) and to the Global Forum for Road Traffic Safety (WP.1).
