Georg Doll

Georg Doll is CTO for Automotive & Mobility at Microsoft, where he leads the company’s strategy for software-defined vehicles, connected mobility, and AI-driven automotive development. With over 30 years of experience across the automotive and technology industries, he has held leadership roles at Volkswagen Group, McKinsey & Company, Luxoft, Wind River, and ABB.

At Volkswagen, he shaped the infotainment software strategy across multiple brands. At McKinsey, he advised OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers on digital transformation and software organization design. His engineering background includes safety-critical systems for aerospace (ARINC 653), AUTOSAR platform development, and large-scale Android-based infotainment programs.

Georg is a founding member of GENIVI (now COVESA) and currently chairs the COVESA Generative AI Working Group. He is a recognized voice on how AI agents and modern development practices are reshaping the way automotive software is built, tested, and delivered.
