Andrei Bocharov
Andrei’s university graduation work and further PhD thesis were dedicated to road vehicle handling, controllability and stability assessment. He started his professional career as a Research Engineer of NAMI Proving Ground Vehicle Handling Test Laboratory. Besides vehicle physical tests, he was involved in the development and implementation of national regulatory standards for road vehicles. After seven years of experience in that area, he changed his activity to vehicle compliance assessment and further joined NAMI Directorate for Vehicle Technical Regulating, where he participated in and led researches related to grounding and proving different regulatory measures. Andrei currently leads Vehicle Compliance Assessment System Development Division in charge of drafting technical regulations for the Russian Federation and the Euro-Asian Economic Union. Since 2005, Andrei represents the Russian Federation at GRVA. He is one of the leaders of the GRVA Task Force, which drafted the UN Regulation for Driver Control Assessment Systems (DCAS).
